NEWSPHONE in collaboration with “To Hamogelo tou Paidiou” – an NGO for the protection of children rights – and selected TV programs in the morning and evening zones provided support for raising funds via the 4-digit number 1056. Once more, NEWSPHONE’s platforms and interconnections with cellular telephony providers were put to use, to ensure the provision of on-line statistics and the safeguarding of the unimpeded operation of the service.

The state-of-the-art infrastructure of NEWSPHONE made it possible to process a great number of simultaneously sent written messages. In the three TV “marathons” for “To Hamogelo tou Paidiou” more than 206,000 calls were processed.
